The Montgomery County Commission is asked to approve a modification to a transfer station permit for Green Environmental Services.
Green's owner John Hafner appeared before the commissioner this week with th request. Hafner says his Earie-based company has been in business for many years when he decided a change was needed.
The company had prior approval from the commission as well as from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. However, Hafner says, they realized a modification to their permit was needed when they examined a structure on some recently purchased property.
The commission unanimously approved the modification.
