Authorities in Seward County are looking for a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash.

The accident happened early yesterday morning, just after 6am on US-54 just east of Liberal. A 2017 Chevy Silverado driven by 26-year-old Aaron Patton of Liberal was traveling eastbound on 54 when he crossed onto the the right shoulder and collided with another vehicle parked there in the fog. Patton was fatally injured in the crash. The driver of the second vehicle fled the scene before notifying law enforcement of the accident and has not yet been identified.

Anyone with information on the unidentified driver is asked to contact the Kansas Highway Patrol. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
