Coffeyville City Manager Ben Brubaker receives a state award for excellence.

Brubaker received the Early Career Excellence Award from the Kansas Association of City/County Management or K-A-C-M. The award was established in 2013 and recognizes early career local government professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership. Recipients must be within their first five years of work in local government.

Brubaker has been Coffeyville's City Manager for just over 18 months, having joined the City in early 2024. He was presented with the award earlier this month at the K-A-C-M conference in Emporia.
