An Oswego man faces criminal charges following a fire at his residence.

Oswego Fire and Police responded on Sunday to reports of a house fire in the 600 block of Merchant Streeet. While working to extinguish the fire, emergency crews saw illegal activity inside the home. When the blaze was out, a search warrant was executed on the home, revealing drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons, and stolen property. A 61-year-old man was arrested at the scene. The suspect's name has not been released pending formal charges.
