Osage County Deputy Rescues Six From Burning Home

Six people in Osage County are safe from a house fire thanks to the efforts of a quick-thinking deputy.

On Tuesday morning, Osage County Shierff's Deputy Andrew Summerlin was patrolling western Osage County near Skiatook when he noticed an orange glow on the horizon. Summerlin investigated the glow and found a residence in flames. The quick-thinking deputy entered the burning home and was able to get all six occupants out safely along with their pets. None of the residents were injured. Summerlin was treated for smoke inhalation.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Skiatook Fire Department and Country Corner Fire Department all responded to the call.
