Sheriff's deputies in Tulsa County had quite a chase on their hands Monday afternoon when they attempted to catch an escaped kangaroo.
The mobile marsupial was discovered loose on the roadway near 171st Street South in Tulsa. Deputies responded to the scene, but were met with frustration as they attempted to corner the animal. With the agility of an NFL running back, the kangaroo managed to evade and elude until her owner arrived on the scene to assist. The roo – named Martha – was safely captured and returned to her home.
Tulsa County deputies were glad to see the animal safe at home and to have a chance to sit down and catch their breath.
