Shelter pets at a Labette County animal shelter will have a little brighter holiday season thanks to some area students.
Seventh graders from Altamont Grade School visited the Proud Animal Lovers Shelter in Parsons on Friday, bringing season’s greetings to the animals there. The students took treats, pet food, toys to help brighten the lives of animals waiting to find their forever homes.
The Proud Animal Lovers Shelter, known as PALS, has been serving the Parsons are since 2010 as a no-kill, state-licensed facility. PALS is located at 24052 Meade Road in Parsons.
