The Coffeyville School Board is expected to make a decision on the FKHS Natatorium next week.
After several delays, another special USD 445 Board meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 16th at 3 p.m. On the agenda is board action to send out the “request for proposal” for the demolition of the FKHS Natatorium.
A request for proposal is a formal document used to detail a projects scope for vendors or contractors. Nothing is on the agenda regarding repairing the facility. This special meeting comes after a number of meetings regarding the facility and fundraising efforts by the Friends of the Charlesworth Swimming Pool, LLC. The group says they've raised $1.6 million towards repairing the roof and HVAC systems. The school board recently voted to commit $800,000 towards either repairing or demolishing the building.
Tuesday's meeting will take place at the district office and is open to the public.
