Coffeyville Municipal Light and Power is receiving statewide recognition for excellence in safety and reliability.
The Municipal Electric Systems of Oklahoma, known as MESO, has awarded Coffeyville’s electric department first place in its annual Electric Operations and Reliability Competition in the Cities Over 10,000 Population category. The department earned top honors for workplace safety after its 35-member team logged more than 65,000 work hours in 2024 without a single reported incident.
Coffeyville Municipal Light and Power was also recognized for system reliability, posting an Average System Availability Index of 99.99% percent, a measure of how consistently customers have electric service. MESO officials praised the department’s commitment to training, preparation and safe work practices, calling it a model for public power utilities across the region.
