Coffeyville’s City Manager is being recognized at the state level for his leadership and service.
City Manager Ben Brubaker was honored last week at the Kansas Association of City and County Management Conference, where he received the Early Career Excellence Award. The award, established in 2013, recognizes early-career local government professionals who demonstrate strong leadership, innovation, and a commitment to public service. Eligibility is limited to KACM members serving as interns or within their first five years in local government.
Brubaker has served as Coffeyville’s City Manager for just over 18 months. During that time, city officials say he has provided steady leadership, promoted a team-focused approach, and shown a strong commitment to moving the community forward. The Early Career Excellence Award is considered one of the highest distinctions for emerging local government leaders across Kansas.
