Police in Chetopa are investigating an incident in which a vehicle crashed into an apartment building.

Authorities say the incident occurred Wednesday evening around 9:30pm. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a vehicle that had collided with and entered into an apartment unit. After hitting the building, the driver then reversed through a ditch and into the apartment parking lot. The collision caused significant damage to the structure, but no injuries were reported. The building has been secured until all the damages can be assessed.

Chetopa Police continue to investigate the incident.
