Two people are injured after a driver fails to yield at a stop sign south of Pittsburg.
The accident happened just before 2pm Wednesday when a 2011 Toyota Prius driven by Frank Merrifield of Pittsburg failed to yield at a stop sign on 520th Street. As he crossed the intersection, Merrifield's vehicle collided with a 2024 Chevy Trax driven by 30-year-old Megan Green of Baxter Springs.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were treated at Pittsburg's Mercy Hospital.
