An Arkansas woman is dead after being struck by a car while trying to help a dog in the middle of a busy street.
The accident occurred around 7:15 on Monday evening in Rogers, Arkansas. Police say 65-year-old Jayne Cochran was sitting in the northbound lane of traffic attending to a dog when she was hit and killed by an SUV. The driver of the SUV was found to not be at fault in the accident. Police add that the dog is not alive, but it is unclear if the animal was already dead when the accident occurred.
