Coffeyville's Jake Long and team roping partner Andrew Ward of Edmond, OK, are narrowly hanging on to first place in the average score at the National Finals Rodeo.
The duo fell to 9th place in round five yesterday with a time of 5.7 seconds. While they were not able to earn a payout, their average time is 21.9 seconds over the five rounds, just above Clint Summers and Jade Corkill with 22 seconds.
The NFR Continues through Saturday in Las Vegas.
