The Labette County Commissioners are receiving a number of questions after the announcement of the nuclear project in the county. Commissioner Tom Barrett says the questions they're being asked are legitimate.

Last week, California-based Deep Fission, Inc. announced plans to pursue a full-scale commercial project following a successful test of a small modular pressurized water reactor that will be placed one mile underground. The project will be constructed at the Great Plains Industrial Park in Parsons, with a groundbreaking ceremony tomorrow from 2:00 to 4:00pm starting at the Cardinal Event Center in Parsons.
