The Independence USD 446 School Board will meet tonight and discuss turf replacement options at Shulthis Stadium.

The topic tops the list of new business items for board members at tonight's regular monthly meeting. In other business, board members will consider the renewal of administrator contracts for 2026-27, and will also hear updates from Superintendent Jason McAfee regarding mill levy certification, the USD 446 Hall of Fame, and the Board of Education Appreciation Dinner coming up in January.

Tonight's meeting will be held at 7pm in the Library at Independence High School. The meeting is open to the public.
