An Independence man is seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash near Parsons.
The accident occurred around 3:30 Friday afternoon on Southern Avenue just west of US-59. 43-year-old Charles Cooper was driving a box van westbound on Southern Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a curb. Cooper was injured when he was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Labette Health for treatment.
