The Montgomery County Commission will meet today and discuss approval of the Local Disaster Recovery Plan.

 

County Emergency Management Director Rick Whitson will appear before the commission to present the plan. The plan includes an overview of recovery operations, outlines the roles and responsibilities of both individuals and agencies, and explain coordination mechanisms and funding recovery.

 

Also on today’s agenda will be quarterly reports from Rural Fire Chief Michael Smith and I-T Director Jason Clubine. Public Works Director Brandon Beurskins will also be on hand to discuss a construction agreement for the Bridge 527A project for the arch bridge over Onion Creek, northwest of Bolton.

 

Today’s meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the County’s website.
