Oklahoma Woman Faces 60 Counts of Animal Cruelty

 

An Oklahoma woman from southern Washington County faces 60 counts of animal cruelty after sheriff's deputies report multiple malnourished animals.

 

Sharron Lee Adams was arrested on Wednesday after Washington County Sheriff's deputies observed several malnourished dogs on and around her property on North 3944 Road. Deputies also found 2 deceased cats outside her home and five more in a freezer, The surviving dogs were rescued by the Oklahoma Animal Alliance.

 

Adams appeared yesterday in Washington County District Court for a probable cause hearing. Special Judge Jared Sigler found probable cause for arrest and set bond at $50,000. Adams will appear in court again today where formal charges are expected to be filed.
