A Claremore man is in custody following an hours long police standoff in Rogers County.

 

Authorities say the suspect Anthony Todd Space was arrested outside his home yesterday following a five-hour standoff. The incident began around 7am with the report of a suspect shooting at a woman. The victim was able to safely escape from the residence as law enforcement surrounded the home.

Later, news crews were gathered at the scene when a man approached them and asked what was going on. When the standoff was explained and the suspect was described, the man replied that he thought he was probably the suspect.

 

Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton stated that about an hour before Space was arrested, that law enforcement was uncertain if he was still inside the house.

 

Space was taken into custody without incident and the case remains under investigation.
