State Lawmakers to Conduct Listening Tour on Tuesday

 

Several southeast Kansas lawmakers will conduct listening tour stops across the area on Tuesday.

 

State Senator Virgil Peck along with Kansas House members Ron Bryce, Doug Blex, Dan Goddard, and Ken Collins will make several stops across their districts next week to get input from their constituents in the run up to the 2026 Legislative Session. The lawmakers will also address several of the issues they expect to be up for consideration this session when lawmakers return to Topeka in January.

 

The tour will begin at Hersh's in downtown Coffeyville at 10am on Tuesday. From there, the tour will visit High Road Coffee in Independence at 11:30, the City Council Room in Cherryvale at 1pm, the Wall Family Center in Parsons at 2:15, and the Neosho County Courthouse in Erie at 3:45. The tour will wrap up with a stop at Cardinal Drug in Chanute at 5pm.

 

Senator Peck says more dates and times may be added to the tour and will be announced when they are confirmed.

 

The location and times of the tour stops are as follows:

 

Coffeyville – Hersh’s, 123 W. 9th, 10:00–11:00

Independence – High Road Coffee, 107 E. Main, 11:30–12:30

Cherryvale – City Council Room, 123 W. Main, 1:00–1:45

Parsons – Wall Family Center, 2605 Main, 2:15–3:15

Erie – Neosho County Courthouse, 100 S. Main, 3:45–4:30

Chanute – Cardinal Drug, 103 E. Main, 5:00–6:00
