KDOT Announces Approval of State Highway Projects in Southeast Kansas

The Kansas Department of Transportation announces the approval of bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in southeast Kansas.

The projects approved for funding include the replacement of eleven miles guardrails on US-166 in Cherokee County at a cost of $1.9 million. That project was awarded to Klaver construction Company of Wichita.

Also approved in November was a bridge replacement project over Little Canville Creek on US-59, just south of the junction with K-39 in Neosho County or about 15 miles east of Chanute. That project went to Bridges, Inc., of Newton, for just over $3,5 million.
