Wilson County Approves Bridge Project

The Wilson County Commission has approved a bridge project worth over $100,000 in the county.

That's the latest from the first December meeting of the commission, in which Road and Bridge Director Kary Tatum spoke with commmissioners regarding the Big Sandy bridge on 2100 and Harper Road. The commissioners unanimously approved a $102,000 motion to finish repairs to the bridge.

Tatum also discussed the county's need for a water truck. He says it will provide needed resources to continue ditching projects at the level of quality that is expected.

The commission elected to delay the purchase of the truck until the new year. The county commission will not meet next week, due to a convention in Wichita, and will next meet on December 17th at 9 a.m. in Room 101 of the courthouse in Fredonia.
