A youth entrepreneurship competition is coming to Independence in February.
The Innovative Business Resource Center and Life Skills Academy will host the Youth Entrepreneur Challenge at Memorial Hall in Independence in February. The challenge invites students to pitch their business ideas and showcase them to the public in a trade show format. Students will also compete for $2,500 in cash prizes and receive guidance and mentoring through out the process of preparing for the challenge. The competition is open to all Montgomery County students in 7th through 12th grade. The business application deadline is February 17 and the challenge will take place on February 24th at the Civic Center. The challenge is free to enter for individuals or for teams of up to four students.
