The Kansas highway Patrol reports only one fatal car accident over the Thanksgiving holiday.

 

That accident occurred in Finney County late on Thanksgiving night when a pedestrian was struck while walking along a roadway west of Garden City. The number of speeding citation was up slightly from last year with I,162 citations written. K-H-P also issued 28 child restraint citations and arrested 19 individuals suspected of D-U-I. Troopers were also called to provide assistance to 882 motorists.
