Local units respond to a structure fire in Fredonia.

Early this morning around 4 a.m., units from the Fredonia Fire Department and Wilson County Rural Fire responded to a structure fire within the city limits of Fredonia. An interior attack was made and units found a large fire and a collapsed roof. Units then began a defensive attack to protect surround structures. Occupants were able to get out safely. Firefighters will continue to check on the location today for hot spots.
