The Coffeyville Friends of Animals Shelter are creating a new partnership with the City of Coffeyville. CFA Board Director Becky Barnhart says there has always been some partnership but it was very hands off.

City Manager Ben Brubaker says this partnership isn't the city taking over but enhancing what CFA already does.  Barnhart says CFA is excited about this new partnership with the City.

Brubaker says one of the other things the City will be enhancing through this partnership is the dog licensing program. He says this should help with dogs who have gotten lost be returned to their rightful owners.
