The Montgomery County Commission will meet today and approval of a resolution to set guidelines for the purchasing of equipment in online auction by Rural Fire is expected.
Rural Fire Chief Michael Smith addressed the commission at last week’s meeting about a resolution to allow his department to purchase equipment from online auctions without previous commission approval. The purpose of the proposed resolution is to establish purchasing limits and procedures on reputable online. County Administrator Jonathan Booe will present the Purchasing Resolution for commission approval.
Also on today’s agenda is a representative of Holmes-Murphy on insurance policies for county employees. County Appraiser Melody Kikkert will also be on hand to follow up on her report from last week.
Today’s meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the County’s website.
