While Thanksgiving has passed, local charities are now shifting their full attention to helping people during the Christmas season.
Earlier this month, Touch of Life Ministries and Gorham's Handyman Service served 107 people with a free chili feed. Now, the group is planning another meal for Saturday, December 13th from noon to 4 p.m. at 501 E 9th Street in Coffeyville.
Organizer Jessica Gorham says they plan to serve turkey and noodles, rolls and dessert. Donations needed include cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup and egg noodles. They're also looking for boxes of brownie mix for dessert. Anyone who wishes to donate can call 620-333-4615.
