Area residents are invited to Independence tomorrow to enjoy a new walking trail and get in a little exercise before Thanksgiving dinner.
The 2025 Turkey Trot happens tomorrow morning in Riverside Park. The family-friendly run/walk takes place on the new Verdigris Vista Trail. Independence Chamber President Lisa Wilson says it should be a nice day for a pleasant trip down the new trail,
Check-in begins at 9:30 tomorrow morning at the trail head located near Miss Able's Snack Shack at Riverside Park. The trail is stroller accessible and dogs on leashes are also welcome. The Turkey Trot begins at 10am.
