A Pawhuska man is charged following an officer-involved shooting that left two Osage County deputies injured.
44-year-old William Francis Copple was charged in Osage County District Court with two counts of shooting with intent to kill and one count of convicted felon in possession of a firearm. His bond is set at a million dollars.
The charges stem from a standoff on November 12th at a home in Pawhuska. Police say Copple barricaded himself inside the residence, threatened officers, and later opened fire when law enforcement entered the home. Two deputies were shot but are expected to recover. Copple suffered a minor injury before being taken into custody.
