The Coffeyville Community College Technical Campus received a special visit today from Senator Jerry Moran.

 

Senator Moran was in Southeast Kansas today making stops in Coffeyville, Sedan, and Howard. He says he was excited to see the work that CCC has put into the Commercial Driver's License Program.

 

With the help of funding, CCC was able to add a state-of-the-art truck simulator for students in the program, that allows them to gain hours behind the wheel in a variety of scenarios and conditions. Moran says that was one of the highlights of the visit.

 

Senator Moran also received a tour of the auto shop lab, as well as receiving updates from multiple members of the Coffeyville Leadership Team, including President Dr. Marlon Thornburg, and Vice President for Career and Technical Education Heather Pollet.
