The Independence City Commission will meet this afternoon on a special day and time due to their regular meeting date falling on Thanksgiving Day.

Commissioners will entertain a light agenda with most of today's business devoted to the setting of public hearing dates for dangerous and unsafe properties in the city. Also under consideration will be a conditional use permit for upper-story multi-family units in the old Mercy Hospital building at 811 West Laurel.

Today's meeting will begin at 3:30 in the Commission Room at City Hall. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the City's website.
