The Kansas Department of Health and Environment rescinds the boil water advisory for Woodson County Rural Water District #1 and Wilson County Rural Water District #9.
KHDE issued the original advisory on November 13 due to possible contamination due to a water line break in the City of Yates Center water supply system. Laboratory testing of drinking water samples collected from the Woodson County Rural Water 1 and Wilson County Rural Water 9 distribution systems indicate no evidence of bacterial contamination. All other conditions that placed the systems at risk have been deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
