The Person of Interest in a northwest Arkansas double homicide is found deceased in his jail cell.
U.S. Marshals arrested 54-year-old Travis Lee McConnell in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, on Friday. McConnell was a person of interest in the double homicide investigation into the deaths of 77-year-old Joy Willmeth and 71-year-old Robert Willmeth who were found shot to death in their Eureka Springs home last week. McConnell was taken to the Pittsburg County Jail in McAlester where he was found deceased in his cell on Sunday. The Oklahoma State bureau of Investigation is investigating the manner of cause of the suspect's death.
McConnell was the son of the two homicide victims.
