Montgomery County completes the canvass of the November general election.
County Clerk Ami Standridge along with county commissioners and representatives from the Democrat and Republican parties completed the official tally of votes at toady's commission meeting.
Commissioners also got an update on the issues of delinquent oil and gas taxes from County Administrator Jonathan Booe. Booe told commissioners that all parties with delinquent taxes will soon be receiveing a letter from the county. He says those that do not pay after that, will be sent to collections.
Booe added that the county contracts with the firm Butler & Associates of Topeka for collections. The firm will keep 30% of any fees collected through their agency with the rest going back to the county.
