USD 446 has been recognized for their educational efforts, with the district receiving a letter of numerous areas of excellence from the Kansas Department of Education.
The district received four total recognitions from KSDE as a part of the Kansas Star Program. Superintendent Jason McAfee says a few of these categories are for the district's growth is for alternative forms of learning.
Additional items of business at the November board meeting was an accreditation update from Kellie Puderbaugh, as well as recognizing the district's Teacher of the Year candidates, Mary Swearingen and Whitney Woodward.
