Students from Parsons High School will show off their musical and acting talents this weekend as they stage a production of Footloose: the Musical.
The musical is based on the 1984 movie starring Kevin Bacon in which a teen moves to a small town where dancing is banned. The story follows the main chracter Ren who leads his classmates in a fight for the right to dance and express themselves. The musical features music from the movie soundtrack.
Performances will be at the Parsons Municipal Auditorium tonight and tomorrow at 7pm with a Sunday afternoon matinee at 2. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and may be purchased at the door.
