A Wilson County family is killed in an early morning crash in Wilson County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 6:00am on Highway 400 at Granby Avenue, about a mile north of the Highway 75 and 400 junction. Troopers say a 2019 Hyundai Sonata was westbound on Granby Avenue when it failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a northbound 2025 Peterbilt truck.
The driver of the Hyundai, 21-year-old Adam Brooks and two passengers 21-year-old Kylie Brooks and 2-year-old Kohen Brooks were killed in the crash. No one in the car was wearing their seat belts. The driver of the Peterbilt, 59-year-old Marvin Lea, of El Dorado, was not injured.
