The Sedan City Council approves the expenditure for sewer pipe in order to have some on hand in case of emergency.
Sedan Public Works Superintendent Caleb Ironsyde was at the most recent meeting and informed council members about the recent emergency sewer repair on Main Street. Ironsyde says the project turned out to be more complicated than first thought.
Ironsyde says the repairs were made, but this likely won’t be the last time it happens.
Ironsyde told the council that the pipe cost for that project would be around $1,200, not including contractor fees. The council then approved just over $3,500 to have pipe on hand for future repairs.
