Atmos Energy is taking comments and holding a public hearing ahead of a proposed rate increase.
The natural gas provider is requesting a net revenue increase in base rates of $19.1 million. If approved by the Kansas Corporation Commission, the average monthly residential bill will increase by about $9.12 per month, or 11%.
Public comments will be accepted through 5 p.m. on January 20th, 2026, at kcc.ks.gov or by calling 1-800-662-0027. A public hearing will take place in Overland Park on the KU Edwards Campus on Tuesday, December 2nd from 6 to 8 p.m. The meeting will also be streamed on YouTube. More information is available here.
