A 12-year-old boy in Wagoner County, OK, is being hailed for his bravery after he saves three others from a burning UTV.
Roman Goodnight was driving his two siblings and a friend across the family farm to the school bus stop on an October morning. Nothing was unusual about the trip until the boy turned off the UTV. When he did that, the machine burst into flames with the four kids still inside. The 12-year-old directed his younger brother and sister to get out of the vehicle and then turned to help their friend, who was stuck inside. Roman helped the girl get free and escape the fire. None of the children were injured in the incident.
Roman Goodnight will be recognized for his bravery at the next Wagoner County Commission meeting.
