A Carthage man who has been missing since October 20 is found deceased.

Auhtorities say 87-year-old Hugh Berry of rural Carthage was found deceased around 9:30 Thursday morning by Jasper County deputies. Berry was last seen leaving his rural Carthage residence on foot on October 20. Since that time, search and rescue teams have been searching for the missing man. Human remains believed to be those of Mr. Berry were discovered at an undisclosed location.

Authorities say that foul play is not suspected in the case.
