A single-vehicle accident causes a brief highway closure in Wilson County.

 

K-39 between US-400 and US-75 north of Neodesha was closed for a brief period time yesterday after a tractor-trailer left the roadway on a curve and went into a roadside pond. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the driver was able to escape the cab of the vehicle through the passenger door and was not injured in the crash.

 

The truck was removed from the water and the road was reopened.
