Two Injured in Independence Crash

Two people are injured in a crash just south of Independence.

The accident occurred around 3pm yesterday at the intersection of South 10th Street and County Road 4000, just east of ICC. A 2007 Toyota Tundra drivern by 66-year-old Patrick Wilson of Liberty had stopped at the stop sign at the intersection. He pulled onto 10th Street and collided with a southbound Hyundai Azera driven by 23-year-old Parker Banzet of Coffeyville. Banzet and a minor child both sustained minor injuries and were taken to Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for treatment.

No one else was injured in the crash.
