One person is killed and four others, including an infant, are injured in a crash in Jefferson County.
The accident occurred around 6:15 Friday morning on K-4 about ten miles northeast of Topeka. 67-year-old Loretta Stewart of Nortonville, Kansas, was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of the two-lane highway, when she struck another vehicle head-on. Stewart suffered fatal injuries while the four occupants of the other vehicle were all seriously injured. 27-year-old Phillip Webster, 28-year-old Shianne Webster, and an infant child were all taken to Stormont Vail Health in Topeka. A six-year-old girl was taken to Children's Mercy Hospital as well.
