A recent hearing before the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs reviews the veterans' disability benefits system.

 

The hearing was led by Kansas Senator Jerry Moran and featured testimony from vets, advocates, the V-A Inspector General and the Government Accountability Office. Moran says part of the reason for the hearings was a recent series of articles in the Washington Post on exploitation of disability services.

 

Moran says our government has the obligation to provide vets with the services they need.

 

Those appearing at the hearing discussed possible ways to improve the current veterans' disability benefits system.
