The City of Coffeyville is teaming up with the Genesis Food Pantry for a November food drive.
During the month of November, citizens are asked to help those less fortunate by donating non-perishable food items such as peanut butter; canned meats, fruits, and vegatables; boxed meals; and baby food and formula to Genesis at 1312 West 8th Street. There will also be a drop-off box at the south entrance of City Hall. Each items donated can make a big difference to a family in need.
Genesis provides food to an average of 400 households in Coffeyville per month, but that number nearly doubles during the holiday season—serving 800–1,000 households in November and December.
