Five people are injured in a Wilson County crash.

The accident occurred around 4:15 yesterday afternoon at the junction of US-400 and K-39 just north of Fredonia. A 2013 GMC Terrain driven by 28-year-old Michael Arnett of Humboldt was westbound on K-39 when it failed to stop and struck a 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan as it turned onto K-39 from US-400. One passenger in the Terrain 40-year-old Jenna White was seriously injured and taken to Fredonia Regional Medical Center.

Arnett along with 52-year-old Melissa Cain and 28-year-old Wendy Becannon, all of Humboldt, had possible injuries and were transported to the Fredonia hospital as a precaution. The driver of the other vehicle 61-year-old Tracie Gregg of Yates Center was taken to the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, also as a precautionary measure.
