A wind advisory continues for the four-state area now through 1 this afternoon.
The advisory is in effect for eastern Kansas and Oklahoma as well as western counties along the state line in Missouri plus northwest Arkansas.
Winds will continue out of the northwest between 15 and 30 mph, and gusts of 45 to 50 mph are possible. Remain alert for for sudden wind gusts and use caution while driving high-profile vehicles.
In addition, sub-freezing temperatures are possible across portions of central and south-central Kansas tonight, which has prompted a freeze watch for Butler and Cowley Counties and areas to the north and west.
